رزین اپوکسی ماده بادوامی است که به عنوان یک محصول همه کاره در بسیاری از صنایع از هنر گرفته تا صنعت اتومبیل سازی کاربرد دارد. این ماده بادوام در متریال‌های گوناگونی از جمله چوب، پارچه، شیشه و فلز به کار برده می‌شود. از جمله کاربردهای رزین‌اپوکسی می‌توان به موارد زیر اشاره کرد:
استفاده از رزین‌اپوکسی به عنوان چسب
استفاده از رزین‌اپوکسی در سیستم‌های الکتریکی و الکترونیکی
استفاده از رزین‌اپوکسی برای رنگ آمیزی
استفاده از رزین‌اپوکسی برای پوشش و درزگیری
استفاده از رزین‌اپوکسی برای تعمیرات
و استفاده از رزین‌اپوکسی در جواهرسازی
فرآیند پخت رزین اپوکسی
رزین اپوکسی ابتدا در حالت مایع بوده و هنگام پخت در اثر واکنش شیمیایی ترکیب با هاردنر به حالت کاملا جامد درمی‌آید. به این مراحل curing time یا زمان پخت گفته می‌شود. پخت رزین‌اپوکسی شامل مراحل زیر است:
مرحله اولیه
زمانی که رزین‌اپوکسی و هاردنر با هم ترکیب می‌شوند کمی سفت شده و حالت چسبناک و ژل مانند به خود می‌گیرد.
مرحله نهایی
در مرحله نهایی رزین کاملا سفت شده و می‌توان با استفاده از سنباده زنی و پولیش به آن شکل داد. چنانچه میخواهید به رزین پیچ و مهره نصب کنید، باید بعد از حدود 7 روز که مقاومت خود را به طور کامل به دست آورده است این کار را انجام دهید.
